Center for Conservation Leadership

Members of the current group from the Center of Conservation Leadership spent some time in Michigan this summer.  Susie Hoffmann, program Director, came along with 2 mentors and 7 participants to the RAM Center [DNR facility] to learn fly tying and fish.  Note the rather large brook trout that Monica caught on the Au Sable River.  Her first time fly fishing and she landed this gem!  Needless to say, Barry was pleasantly surprised!

After fishing, we toured Hartwick Pines and learned about the nature trees, logging history, and lots more.  The tour guide was wonderful!  She kept bringing show-n-tell items from her magic backpack.  Then we had a nice cookout dinner at the Coddens' house on the Manistee River.

Many thanks to Darwin and Evelyn Adams for helping out.
