Volunteers needed for LF Bagpipes & Bonfires event
From 4-7pm on Sunday Sept 29, 2024 our GBTU chapter will once again host a fly casting demo at the annual Bagpipes & Bonfires event in Lake Forest. This is a wonderful event with field games, live music and activities to raise funds for the LF Open Lands Association.
GBTU has a table and are set up for fly casting. Each year we help children and adults of all ages to try their hand (most for the first time) to cast a fly rod. This is a very rewarding and fun experience to volunteer at.
We typically need 3 to 4 helpers to run this casting session. If you are interested, please contact Bill Davis to sign up or for more information.
