Happy Holidays to all our Gary Borger TU Members.  Our December meeting is set for Thursday December 13th at 7:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church at 600 Deerfield Road Deerfield, IL.  Our speakers this month are Geri Meyer and Matt Wagner from the Driftless Angler in Viroqua, WI,  The title of their talk will be “Top Ten Tips for Fishing the Driftless” and How to Survive a Fishing Trip with your Significant Other”.

Geri and her husband have owned the Driftless Angler for thirteen years now and both have been guiding the area for the past eight years.  In 2015 Geri opened Athena and Artemis Women’s Fly Shop so that women can have quality fly fishing apparel and gear in one spot. Both Geri and Mat have been active in conservation efforts in the Driftless area and many of our members have interacted with them on our annual fall trip to Avalanche.  They have recently just returned from a fly fishing trip to Patagonia.

We are looking forward to hearing them speak at the meeting next week.  Hope to see you all there for this final meeting of the 2018 year.
