March meeting - Jay Anglin, speaker

Well March is upon us and it's getting time to start thinking about those warmer months and the fly fishing that goes with them.  Our next meeting is on Thursday March 8th held at always at the First United Methodist Church at 600 Deerfield Road in Deerfield, IL.  The meeting will start again as always at 7:00 in the church basement.

Our speaker this month is Jay Anglin, owner and guide of Anglin Outdoors.  The topic for the nights meeting will be the Dowagiac River.  Jay Anglin started guiding fishermen and hunters in 1996. His company, Anglin Outdoors specializes in pursuing warm and cold water fish throughout the Michiana area. Jay has guided anglers of all persuasions as well as waterfowl, turkey and upland game hunters throughout the Great Lakes states. Jay met his wife Angie while working towards his biology degree from Northern Michigan University in the Upper Peninsula. The couple live in LaPorte, Indiana with their five children and three Labrador retrievers. When he is not guiding outdoorsmen, Jay works outdoor industry trade shows and writes for the dynamic PR firm Traditions Media. He has written a weekly outdoor column for the LaPorte Herald Argus for over a decade and spends many hours photographing high school sports for local newspapers as well.

Hope to see all of you on March 8th.
